Today Swyrich provides a family of products that ranges from licensed software, to surname histories and family coats of arms, to custom lapel pins. We currently employ 18 people at our office in Kingston, Ontario Canada. Our internet properties include:

Our Companies and Internet Properties

Hall of Names by Swyrich offer business opportunities using our licensed software products. These products currently provide employment for over 500 people worldwide through consumer sales of over 3 million per annum.

International Coats of Arms supplies custom lapel pins and regalia to the Canadian market. Founded in Toronto in 1968, this company has grown from its roots in heraldic research, consultancy and design, to design and production of variety of customized promotional items and heraldic products. Today our customers include virtually every municipality in Canada.

Kingpins.net offers custom lapel pins to the American market. Founded in 1997, as a branch of our custom lapel pin group, Kingpins customers include: 3M, American Wine & Spirits, Hummel, Homax Products Inc., Home Builders Association, Kodak Company, Military Operations Research Society, Covenant House, Mrs. Fields Cookies, Time Warner Cable, Toyota Manufacturing West Virginia, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, US Treasury Department (ATF), George Bush - Presidential Campaign, Governor of Texas, Republican Party of Texas, U of California, United States Coast Guard, University of Texas, City of Columbus, Institute of International Education - Madame Albright Chairperson, New York City Public Library, US District Court California, Doctors of Emergency Service - Washington DC, First National Bank, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Delaware County Republican Party, Orange County Sheriff's Department, United Way, Disable American Veterans and thousands more.

Pinscentral.com is a retail online store, founded in 2001 to meet the high consumer demand for in-stock lapel pins.

HouseofNames.com is our consumer site for the Hall of Names by Swyrich product line of surname histories and coats of arms. After launching in 2000, the site quickly became the most popular family crest and family coat of arms web site. As of January 2008, this site has over 100,000 unique weekly visitors. Many schools and universities link to our site directly for their student's family research.

Innovation and commitment to quality are central to Swyrich Corporation. Swyrich provides in-house historical research, web-page design and maintenance, and software development. The company strives for continual improvement in the ways we do business with our customers, clients, and partners. We are passionate about our company, our research, and most importantly our customers. Over the years, Swyrich work has been incorporated into packages produced by Corel, Nova and IMSI.

Swyrich Milestones

1968 After a very successful appearance at Expo'67, Mr. Tunstall opens a business named International Coats of Arms, on Yonge Street in Toronto. This would become a long-standing company rich in heraldic tradition and design serving thousands of consumers and municipalites in Canada. Staff artists designed Coats of Arms and logos for countless organizations and companies - many are still in use today.

1971 Hall of Names is founded in Toronto, Canada, began researching family surnames.

1987 Hall of Names surname histories were featured from a 40 square foot location at the main Eaton's store in Toronto for the ten days before Christmas. Sales: $36,000

1988 - January As a result of the phenominal sales, Eaton's signs Hall of Names for 12 major locations across Canada

1988 - March Hall of Names signs it's first Canadian licensee. This signing would begin a flurry of licensees including licenses in the UK.

1990 - Hall of Names introduced the world's first on-site computer generated Coat of Arms. Our proprietary database was the only one of its kind and could produce a Family Coat of Arms within one minute from ordering using wax thermal technology.

1991 Swyrich Corporation is founded by David and Sherry Richardson, who move the business to Kingston, Ontario. As well as hiring researchers to continue the perpetual growth of the surname and coat of arms databases. Realizing the tremendous potential in the software market, they began the challenge of digitizing the coats of arms library into clip art that can be used with the new Windows operating system. One of the results of this labourious task is the collection of high quality coats of arms now included in the Hall of Names and Houseofnames.com product lines.

1996 Swyrich enters into several partnerships to allow the use of our clipart and surname histories, which is incorporated into CorelDraw 7 and Corel Family Tree Suite.

1997 Kingpins.net was added to the Swyrich family of companies to properly brand our high-quality custom lapel pins in the American market place.

1999 Hall of Names software release 4 in April 1999 introduced 400,000 fullcolor Coats of Arms, which could be printed on regular paper as a stand-alone product or in combination with a surname history using an inkjet printer. (HP1000c)

2000 Our online retail store for the Hall of Names products Houseofnames.com was launched.

2001 The Pinscentral online store was launched to meet the growing need for in-stock lapel pins.

2003 Swyrich sells over 2.8 million lapel pins for the year!

2005 Hall of Names launches WebStore - a free customizable online Store for all Hall of Names licensees

2007 Hall of Names launches version 8 - an upgraded, Vista compatible version of software. Swyrich earns TRUSTe certification.

2008 For the second year running, Swyrich Corporation earns a place on the Honour Roll of the Better Business Bureau. To qualify for this honour, the BBB member must be a BBB Accredited Business for at least five years and have no complaints for the previous calendar year.

2008 Hall of Names software now has over 300 world-wide licensees. For the past year, Houseofnames.com has had over 100,000 unique visitors per week.
